A New Web Series On The Lines Of Films Like 'kavan' And 'ko' Cinema News
Actor and popular VJ Prajin has now forayed into digital space. He is all set to be a part of a web series titled Por Varudhu. When asked if the web series is a spoof on the current political scenario in Tamil Nadu, he told us, “It isn’t a spoof or a political satire. It is about the life of a journalist, who works for a news channel, and his every day activities at work. The web series will be on the lines of films like Ko and Kavan.”
Prajin, who was a popular anchor, said that he didn’t have to take any references for the role as he was quite familiar with it. “Being a VJ for years, I had the prior experience of working in front of a live camera. Shooting for the series is more like a rendezvous and I’m enjoying it,” he added.
Talking more about the series, the actor said that they have completed three episodes so far, “We have nine more episodes left to be shot and the first-look poster was released by Karthick Naren.”
Prajin also told us that agreeing to do a web series at this point of time in his career wasn’t a gamble. “It was a conscious decision. My film, Pazhaya Vannarapettai was completed in 2010. However, it was released in 2016. Web series will not take a long time to release, and in fact, it will reach people in no time,” he explained.
On the movie front, the actor has a couple of films lined up for release. “I play one of the lead roles along with Samuthirakani in Aan Dhevathai and another film, titled Kundrathile Kumaranukku Kondattam. My wife Sandra and I play an on-screen couple in another film. Apart from these, I have been listening to scripts and will make announcements soon.”
