Case Filed With Police Against Casting Of Actress Sunny Leone In Veeramadevi Cinema News
A case has been filed with the office of Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, requesting him not to ‘permit’ adultstar-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone from making her debut in Tamil films as a heroine with Veeramadevi.
Sunny Leone, the Canadian-born sizzler of Indian origin, had starred in plenty of porn films for close to a decade and produced many such films starring her before she moved to Bollywood six years back. She is now a name to reckon with in Bollywood and continues to sizzle via ‘item number’ songs as well. The 36-year old actress has been signed up recently to play thelead role in V.C. Vadivudaiyaan’s Veeramadevi.
A petition has been filed with the COP requesting him to ban shoot of Sunny Leone’s Veeramadevi. “A Tamil-Telugu period venture Veeramadevi is to go to floors soon. It has Sunny Leone, known for her many pornographic films, in the lead. The film’s shoot has already commenced at a private-owned premises off Cherambarambakkam next to Poonamallee.
“The Internet is full of Sunny Leone’s ultra-porn films which are sure to disturb the minds of youths and students. Her Veeramadevi is likely to be a film on Tamil culture. Youths are expected to congregate in huge numbers to watch the film’s shoot, which is not good for them as well as for the traffic. As such, the film’s shoot should be banned and Sunny Leone should be barred from acting in the film,” the petition filed by Moses at Nazarathpet Police Station and with COP said.
