Chekka Chivantha Vaanam To Face The Heat Of Animal Welfare Board? Cinema News
It has been only a year since the makers of Vijay’s Mersal were asked to obtain the NOC from the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) for the scenes involving animals like snakes and pigeons. Now, we hear that Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, is facing the heat from AWBI for not obtaining prior permission to use live animals in the film. Sources say that the film has scenes involving a Great Dane and thousands of goats and hens.
While the makers have announced that CCV will hit the screens on September 28, reports suggest that the film may get delayed until they sort out things with AWBI. Sources say that the makers are in the process of obtaining NOC, and planning to release the film as scheduled. The film has STR, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi and Arun Vijay playing the lead roles.
