Narendra Modi Tweets Video Of His Rigorous Fitness Routine India News
Want to know how the leader of the world's largest democracy keeps fit even as he runs the country and keeps a punishing schedule?Well, the man himself, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today tweeted a video of his exercise routine, which looks impressively rigorous, innovative and mindful.
Here's how the PM described his routine:
"Apart from Yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating. I also practice breathing exercises. #HumFitTohIndiaFit", was his post to the exercise video.
Here are moments from my morning exercises. Apart from Yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature - Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating. I also practice— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) June 13, 2018

That he does yoga should come as no surprise; the PM has often extolled the discipline's virtues. But it's the other bits of his routine that look unique and well thought out - including his energetic walk on smooth round pebbles, his stretches using a rock in lieu of a 'Swiss ball' and his meditative stillness as he absorbs his lush green environs.
About three weeks ago Modi accepted a 'fitness challenge' from cricket captain Virat Kohli, and today, even as posted a video of part of his fitness routine, he issued his own such challenge to Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, as well as TT champ Manika Batra and all IPS officers "especially those above 40".
I am delighted to nominate the following for the #FitnessChallenge:— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) June 13, 2018
Karnataka’s CM Shri @hd_kumaraswamy.
India’s pride and among the highest medal winners for India in the 2018 CWG, @manikabatra_TT.
The entire fraternity of brave IPS officers, especially those above 40.
