They Crave Privacy, Not Publicity: Kiren Rijiju Comes Out In Support Of Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli India News
Minister of state for home affairs Kiren Rijiju on Monday slammed the critics of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli who were panned for posting a video of a man allegedly throwing trash on the road two days ago.
"Come on, Virat and Anushka need publicity!! They would rather crave for privacy!! Our conduct reflects our mentality. Civic sense is social ethics and ethical behaviour doesn't come with wealth and education. Let's keep India clean. #SwachhBharat," the minister tweeted.

Two days ago, the couple was derided on social media for posting a video of a man who threw garbage on road. In the 17-second video, Bollywood actress can be seen reprimanding the passerby for allegedly littering on the road.
"Why are you throwing garbage on the road, you cannot just throw plastic on the streets just like that," Sharma can be heard as saying in the video shared by Kohli on Twitter
She then asks the man to use a dustbin instead of throwing garbage on the streets.
Kohli captioned the clip as: "Saw these people throwing garbage on the road and pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains have gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same and spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma."

Twitter was divided over cricketer Virat Kohli's recent viral video in which wife Anushka Sharma can be seen schooling a man for throwing garbage on the road.
While some people applauded the actress for giving a 'piece of mind to these idiots', many, however, stated the couple's main motive was to just put the video out on social media.
"But seriously though, more than Anushka Sharma's concern for throwing plastics, shooting a video and posting on SM seemed like the main purpose. aise samay mein video shoot karna kisko yaad ata hai bhai (Who remembers to shoot a video in such a situation)? Same like Sachin Tendulkar - helmet pehenlo (wear an helmet )," tweeted one user.
The person, who was admonished by Sharma, went on to criticise the actor for "ranting and yelling" at him "like a crazy roadside person".
The man who identified himself as Arhhan Singh shared a post on Facebook, saying though he is "apologetic" for his carelessness, the actor could use some etiquette in her speech.
"Horrible! So I happened to carelessly litter a square millimetre of plastic while driving! A car passing by rolls their window down and there we have our wonderful Anushka Sharma ranting and yelling like a crazy roadside person!
"While I'm apologetic for my carelessness, Mrs Anushka Sharma Kohli a little etiquette and politeness in your dialogue wouldn't have made you a lesser star! There are all kinds of manners and hygiene... verbal etiquette is one of them!" he wrote.
