Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Next To Go On Floors Soon Cinema News
The sequel to Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s blockbuster film, Indian, was announced at the grand finale of Bigg Boss last year. The latest we hear is that the makers of Indian 2 have decided to start the first schedule of the film in Hyderabad, once the TFPC and theatre owner’s strike is called off.
Sources say that important sequences of the film will be canned in Ramoji Rao film city. On Republic Day, this year, Shankar commenced his ambitious Indian 2 project, by releasing a helium air balloon in Taiwan with the words ‘Indian 2 in Taiwan’ imprinted on it.
In Indian, Kamal Haasan played a dual role - as a 70-year-old freedom fighter-turned-vigilante against corruption and his son who ends up breaking the rules. The grapevine has it that Indian 2 could be Kamal Haasan’s last film before entering politics full-time.
Producer Dil Raju was supposed to produce the film in Tamil and Telugu, before Lyca Productions stepped in and decided to make the film for a whopping budget. Nayanthara is rumoured to play the female lead. However, the makers are expected to announce the cast and crew of the film next month.
