Vodafone Revises Rs 448 And Rs 509 For Prepaid Customers Technology News
In a bid to outdo one another, telecom giants have been rolling out revised plans at a frantic pace. The latest telecom operator to do this is Vodafone.
The company has revamped its two plans of Rs 448 and Rs 509 for its prepaid customers. The new revised plans now offer longer validity. The Rs 448 plan has now a validity of 84 days, up from 70 days and the Rs 509 plan now has a validity of 91 days, up from 84 days.
Longer validity also translates into additional 1GB data per day for both the plans, meaning the former plan now has 14GB extra data and the latter plan has 7GB additional data.
Other benefits of the two plans include unlimited calling -- both local and national -- to any network with a cap of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week, along with 100 SMS per day.
Within this week only, both Reliance Jio and Airtel have too revised their plans.
Previously, Reliance Jio announced price cut of its existing data plans as part of the 'Happy New year 2018' offer and reduced the prices of all its 1GB data/per day plans by Rs 50. After that, it also updated its Rs 509 and Rs 799 packs. Earlier, the company used to offer 2GB data per day as part of the Rs 509 plan along with unlimited local and STD calling and SMS for the validity of 49 days. Now, the company has now increased the daily data limit to 3GB but with a decreased validity of 28 days. This means that the Reliance Jio users will now get 84GB data for the period of 28 days. As for the Rs 799 plan, Jio has increased the daily data to 5GB from 3.5GB with same validity and calling benefits.
The other major telco that revised its offer this week is Airtel for both Rs 448 and Rs 509 plans. The validity of Rs 448 plan has increased from 70 days to 82 days. On the other hand, the Rs 509 plan is now valid for 91 days up from 84 days.
